Qualifications

• Graduate of CAPTE-accredited DPT or PT program.
• Current Virginia PT license or eligibility to obtain one.
• CPR certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
• Experience or interest in outpatient orthopedics, including balance and vestibular rehab.
• Ability to develop and implement individualized outpatient treatment plans.
• Comfortable working independently with a diverse patient caseload.
• Strong communication, clinical reasoning, and patient education skills.
• Proficient with EMR systems and MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and develop/initiate treatment plans based on evaluations.
• Review physician referrals and patient records to determine PT care.
• Provide direct patient care per established protocols.
• Document findings, progress, and patient/caregiver instructions.
• Oversee patient care performed by assistants and rehab techs.
• Develop written plan of care and goals based on evaluation.
• Implement PT treatment programs and essential therapies.
• Communicate with patients, caregivers, physicians, and insurers.
• Ensure timely documentation: daily notes and progress reports.
