Rockport Healthcare Services is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to provide direct patient care in a therapeutic setting. The role includes evaluating patients, developing treatment plans, supervising assistants, and coordinating with physicians and families to optimize recovery outcomes.

The incumbent will document care in medical records, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and contribute to the rehab program through ongoing professional development and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Knowledge in Physical Therapy evaluation and treatments.
• Ability to supervise and direct assistants and aides.
• Understanding of the principles of physical modalities employed in Physical Therapy.
• Knowledge of prosthetic and orthotic devices ambulatory aids, assistive devices, and training.

Responsabilités

• Performing accurate, comprehensive patient evaluations.
• Developing effective plan of treatment and obtaining approvals from referring physician.
• Supervising Physical Therapy Assistants/other Physical Therapists and/or Aides in direct patient care.
• Communicating with supervisor and interdisciplinary team members regarding patient progress.
• Instructing patient’s families and/or nursing staff in specified follow through programs.
• Interviewing patients and families regarding previous level of functioning and expectations for recovery.
• Documenting services in medical records and billing data.
