Position: Physical Therapist (PT)

Facility: Charlotte Bay Rehab and Care Center

Location: Port Charlotte, Florida

Shift: PRN - Weekdays and/or weekends as needed

Salary: $57 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate residents and create tailored treatment goals and methods
• Carry out treatment plans and complete all documentation accurately
• Apply therapeutic techniques such as gait training, muscle strengthening, posture control, balance, and ambulation
• Design, fit, and train residents in the use of orthotics and prosthetics
• Select appropriate physical modalities and mobility activities for each resident
• Collaborate with the rehab team to ensure integrated, patient-focused care
• Adapt programs to meet each resident's changing physical needs
• Supervise supportive personnel per state and professional standards
• Provide training to nursing and facility staff in PT techniques
• Participate in care planning and resident conferences
• Maintain PT equipment and manage supply needs
• Foster a supportive, respectful environment that honors each resident’s rights and dignity
  
  
  

Requirements:

• Valid Florida Physical Therapist license (unencumbered)
