Sigma Health Rehab is excited to offer a per diem Physical Therapy (PT) position to join our team at the Far Rockaway Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Far Rockaway, NY.

Our therapists provide rehab in a state-of-the-art gym with mentorship and clinical support, and we welcome new grads to apply. Evening and weekend hours are available, with weekly pay and flexible scheduling to fit your life.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Program
• Current New York State PT License

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents' conditions and develop rehab plans.
• Relieve pain with exercises, hands-on therapy, and stretching.
• Assist residents with daily tasks and monitor performance.
• Supervise physical therapy assistants.
• Maintain resident confidence and protect information confidentiality.
• Comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Foster cooperation within the healthcare team.

Education

Duties of an exceptional therapist include:

• Evaluate residents conditions & develop appropriate physical rehabilitation plans

• Relieve resident’s pain using exercises, hands-on therapy & stretching

• Help residents through their tasks and monitor their performance

• Supervise the activities of physical therapy assistants

• Maintain resident confidence & protects facility by keeping information confidential

• Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements

• Maintains a cooperative relationship among healthcare team members &contributes to team effort

PT Requirements Include:
