Job summary

Sigma Health Rehab in New York is seeking a per diem Occupational Therapist to work in a Skilled Nursing Facility. You will evaluate residents, develop rehab plans, and provide therapy to improve function and quality of life.

We offer mentorship, weekly pay, flexible schedules, and opportunities for new grads. NY OT license is required, and you’ll join a team of compassionate rehab professionals in a state-of-the-art facility.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Program.
• Current New York State OT License.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents’ conditions & develop appropriate physical rehabilitation plans.
• Relieve resident’s pain using exercises, hands-on therapy & stretching.
• Help residents through their tasks and monitor their performance.
• Supervise the activities of physical therapy assistants.
• Maintain resident confidence & protects facility by keeping information confidential.
• Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements.
• Maintains a cooperative relationship among healthcare team members & contributes to team effort.
