MedStar Health is looking for a Physical Therapist to join our team at Federal Hill MACC - Therapy! The ideal candidate will be a licensed physical therapist with professional competency as a general practitioner in physical therapy; demonstrated use of varied evaluation and treatment approaches; customer service skills for interacting with patients, including communicating with patients and family members of diverse ages and backgrounds; and effective communication.
The Physical Therapist provides physical therapy services to patients, including screening and evaluation, treatment planning, treatment implementation, re-assessment and revision, patient/client re-evaluation, discharge planning, and documentation in various settings. The Physical Therapist participates in program planning and protocol development and assists the team in meeting established goals.

Provides evaluation services including review of pertinent historical information, assessments, and documentation of results. Explains evaluation findings and treatment plans to patients and families, involving them in goal setting.
Demonstrates proficiency in implementing treatment protocols based on evaluation findings, patient presentation, and the healthcare environment. Consults with other healthcare professionals as indicated. Recognizes and documents changes in patient's condition requiring modification of the plan of care or medical/rehabilitation consultation.
Completes discharge planning and follow-up care. Documents and charges for patient care activities accurately and timely, including initial evaluation, daily notes, progress summaries, and discharge evaluation.
Demonstrates effective time management and meets productivity expectations. Manages an accurate schedule. Provides patient access to care with flexibility, adaptability, and empathy.
Initiates and pursues continuing education for professional growth. Serves as a clinical instructor for students and assists with orientation and mentoring of staff, students, volunteers, and technicians.
Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
Licensure in Maryland, District of Columbia, and/or Virginia as required for specific locations.
American Heart Association's BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
This position has a hiring range of $72,758 - $130,041.
