General Summary of Position
MedStar Health is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to join our team at Therapy - Waugh Chapel. The ideal candidate will demonstrate professional competency as a general practitioner in physical therapy, utilizing varied evaluation and treatment approaches, and possess excellent customer service and communication skills for interacting with patients of diverse ages and backgrounds.
The Physical Therapist will provide services including screening, evaluation, treatment planning, implementation, re-assessment, discharge planning, and documentation across various settings. They will also participate in program planning, protocol development, and team goal achievement.

Conduct evaluation services, review historical information, perform assessments, and document results. Explain findings and involve patients and families in goal setting.
Implement treatment protocols based on evaluation findings and patient presentation. Consult with healthcare professionals as needed. Recognize and document changes requiring care plan modifications.
Complete discharge planning and follow-up care. Ensure accurate, timely documentation and billing, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
Manage time effectively to meet productivity expectations. Demonstrate professionalism, flexibility, and empathy to provide seamless patient care.
Pursue ongoing professional development and serve as a clinical instructor or mentor to staff, students, and volunteers.
Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
Licensure in Maryland, District of Columbia, and/or Virginia as required.
American Heart Association BLS certification for Healthcare Providers.
This position offers a salary range of $72,758 - $130,041.
