Job summary

Harris Regional Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks a Physical Therapist to join an acute care and outpatient rehab team in North Carolina. The PT will perform assessments, develop care plans, and implement individualized therapy programs to restore function and reduce pain.

A bachelor’s in PT and NC license are required; BLS is needed within 30 days, ACLS/PALS within six months, with 1 year of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy and NC PT license.
• BLS within 30 days; ACLS and PALS within 6 months.
• One year of experience preferred; ASLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition.
• Establishes a plan of care aligned with patient goals.
• Designs and executes individualized physical therapy programs.
• Performs therapy interventions appropriate to age and condition.
• Directs and supervises PT assistants and students; communicates effectively.
• Evaluates, fits and adjusts prosthetic/orthotic devices; recommends mods.
• Identifies goals, tracks progress, plans reevaluation.

Join our dedicated rehabilitation team at Harris Regional, an 86-bed facility offering a full range of services including general surgery, women’s care, intensive care, and emergency services. How you’ll contribute

An Acute Care and/or Outpatient Rehab Physical Therapist (PT) who excels in this role:

• Performs initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition.
• Establishes a plan of care which is appropriate to problems identified and involves the patient according to his or her capabilities and desires.
• Plans, prepares and carries out individually designed programs of physical treatment to maintain, improve or restore physical functioning, alleviate pain and prevent physical dysfunction in patients.
• Performs therapy interventions utilizing standard physical therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the age and condition of the patient.
• Directs and supervises physical therapy assistants, students, and other support personnel. Assesses competence, delegates specific tasks, and establishes channels of communication.
• Evaluates, fits, and adjusts prosthetic and orthotic devices and recommend modifications.
• Identifies and documents goals, anticipated progress and plans for reevaluation.

What we’re looking for

Must have a bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy and possess a North Carolina Physical Therapy License. Additional requirements include:

• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
• One year of experience preferred
• ASLS certification preferred
