Thrive Therapy of Kansas is seeking a PRN Home Health Physical Therapist (PT) to join our growing therapy team serving the Wichita area. You will provide skilled evaluations and treatment in patients' homes to improve functional mobility, reduce pain, and enhance safety.

The role requires a DPT, Kansas license, and strong clinical reasoning. Independence, reliability, and excellent communication are essential for success in this home health setting.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program (required).
• Active Kansas Physical Therapist license through the Kansas Board of Healing Arts (KSBHA) (required).
• Strong clinical reasoning and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and time-management abilities.
• Compassionate, dependable, and self-motivated.
• Comfortable working independently in a home health setting.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized plans of care.
• Provide skilled therapeutic interventions to improve strength, balance, coordination, endurance, and mobility.
• Assess fall risk and implement safety and prevention strategies.
• Evaluate home environments and recommend modifications or adaptive equipment as needed.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
• Accurately document evaluations, treatments, and patient responses in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
• Educate patients and caregivers on therapy goals, safety techniques, and home exercise programs.
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure coordinated, comprehensive care.
• Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) as applicable.
• Maintain compliance with all professional, ethical, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Valid Kansas PT license
• Reliable Vehicle
• Valid Driver's License
• Must pass a background check
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Ability to maintain a confidential working relationship
