Job summary

Thrive Therapy of Kansas is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to join our fast‑growing home‑care team. This role involves administering therapy per individual care plans, documenting sessions, and coordinating with clinicians to support patient recovery.

Qualifications

• Valid Kansas PT license is required.
• Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license are required.
• Must pass a background check.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and stay organized.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions and work with a team.

Responsibilities

• Administer therapy treatments per a Patient Plan of Care.
• Document therapy sessions and ensure timely scheduling.
• Perform supervision every 6–8 weeks and initial patient evaluations.
• Administer active, passive, and resistive therapeutic exercises.
• Apply knowledge of indications and contraindications of modalities.
• Train participants in homebound and community settings.
• Maintain equipment knowledge and coordinate supplies with the department.
• Collaborate with health-care team to modify and coordinate treatment plans.

Job Duties

• Administer therapy treatment to program participants according to a Patient Plan of Care
• Assure all program participants receive scheduled therapy treatments and document therapy sessions
• Perform supervisions every 6‑8 weeks
• Initial evaluations of patients
• Perform active, passive, and/or resistive therapeutic exercises, utilizing general therapy principles with program participants
• Demonstrate knowledge of indications and contraindications of healing modalities and techniques
• Train program participants in homebound and community level, including endurance training
• Maintain a good working knowledge of therapy equipment and therapeutic exercise treatments
• Confer with health‑care members to exchange, discuss, and evaluate program participant information for modifying and coordinating current treatment program; participate in treatment planning with the team as requested
• Adhere to ethics of confidentiality
• Take inventory of current therapy equipment and confer with department regarding status and future needs; request supplies as needed
• Follow daily scheduling patterns, communicate with staff, and adjust schedules as needed for flexibility
