Amedisys Home Health is seeking a Physical Therapist to help patients heal at home. You will assess, plan and implement therapy to restore movement and function, with periodic reexaminations and discharge planning.

Requirements include a current PT license for the state, CAPTE-accredited education, and CPR certification; one year of home health experience is preferred, with clinical leadership approval for less than one year.

Formación

• Current license to practice physical therapy in the assigned state.
• Graduate from a CAPTE-accredited physical therapy program.
• One year of home health physical therapy experience preferred.
• If less than one year, approval from regional clinical leaders is required.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsabilidades

• Help patients maintain, restore and improve movement, activity and function.
• Provide interventions, conduct reexaminations every 30 days, modify interventions and perform discharge planning.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Provides interventions, conducts reexaminations (every 30 days, at minimum), modifies interventions as necessary, and performs discharge planning.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice physical therapy specific to the state you're assigned to work in.
• Graduate from an accredited physical therapy educational program as set by the Commission on Accreditation of Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
• One year related physical therapy experience for PTs entering home health care to ensure that knowledge and skills are sufficient to safely provide physical therapy services to patients.
• If less than one year of experience, approval from regional clinical leaders is required as well as appropriate mentoring and/or participating in a residency program.
• Current CPR certification.
