SSM Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) for a full-time float position. The PT will provide coverage across three inpatient rehabilitation hospitals, delivering high-quality care and coordinating with care teams in dynamic environments.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as Physical Therapist or eligibility.
• BLS certification or completion within 90 days of employment.

Physical Therapist (PT) Full-time Float

The Full-Time Float Physical Therapist is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care across our three inpatient rehabilitation hospitals, providing coverage based on operational needs. This role requires flexibility, adaptability, and strong clinical expertise. This position is ideal for a clinician who thrives in dynamic environments, demonstrates strong time management and communication skills, and is committed to delivering consistent, high-quality rehabilitation services across diverse patient populations and care settings.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements and modifies treatment plan in accordance with the patient’s need and physician direction.
• Responsible for delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for those assigned patients.
• Ensures the design of functional treatment programs allowing for an effective return to community activities.
• Serves as an educator of patients, families, students, co-workers and self.
• Performs other professional duties associated with the care of the patient, development of discipline-specific therapy services and design of program delivery.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Physical Therapist required.
• Certified BLS or completion in the first 90 days of employment required.
