Job summary

SSM Health Physical Therapy is seeking a Physical Therapist (PT Float) for a full-time role in the St. Louis area. The position focuses on evaluating patients, developing and modifying treatment plans, and coordinating discipline-specific services to promote safe and effective return to community activities.

The role emphasizes patient education, collaboration with families and team members, and ongoing professional development through clinical ladder programs and residency opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required.
• Current and valid state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Physical Therapist is required.
• CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans in accordance with the patient’s needs and physician direction.
• Responsible for delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for those assigned patients.
• Ensures design of functional treatment programs allowing for effective return to community activities.
• Serves as an educator of patients, families, students, coworkers and self.
• Performs other professional duties associated with the care of the patient, development of discipline-specific therapy services and design of program delivery.
