Job summary

Croatan Ridge Nursing and Rehab Center in Newport, NC is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to assess, plan, and implement personalized therapy programs that enhance residents’ quality of life and functional independence. This in-person, full-time role is housed in a skilled nursing facility operating 24/7.

You will supervise certified PTAs, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, maintain clinical documentation, advocate for residents, and help deliver a culture of compassionate service

Qualifications

• Valid physical therapy license must be held.
• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program.
• Successful criminal background check.
• Subject to pre-employment drug testing.
• Long-term care facility experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and guide certified physical therapy assistants (PTAs).
• Collaborate with other health care professionals in assessment, planning, and safe implementation of therapy.
• Be a resident advocate where the resident is the center of all we do.
• Ensure excellent communication among residents, families, and staff.
• Provide clinical documentation.
• Create positive resident outcomes.
• Respect others by treating them the way we want to be treated.
• Demonstrate kindness, compassion, honesty, and integrity at all times.
• Help create a culture of superior customer service.

JOB SUMMARY

The Physical Therapist / PT position is to be responsible for providing skilled physical therapy. The physical therapist will assess, plan, and implement personalized physical therapy interventions to enhance residents' quality of life and functional independence.
