Lifepoint Rehabilitation at Southern Ohio Medical Center is seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) for a PRN role. You will supervise PT aides, assess patients, develop plans of care, and deliver treatments to restore function and reduce pain.

• Requires graduate from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
• Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of Ohio.
• Ability to supervise PT assistants and aides.
• Proficient in evaluating patients and creating care plans.
• Experience delivering standard PT interventions.

Responsabilités

How you'll contribute

A Physical Therapist who excels in this role:

• Supervises physical therapy assistants and aids in performing treatment.
• Performs initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition.
• Establishes a plan of care which is appropriate to problems identified and involves the patient according to his or her capabilities and desires.
• Plans, prepares and carries out individually designed programs of physical treatment to maintain, improve or restore physical functioning, alleviate pain and prevent physical dysfunction in patients.
• Performs therapy interventions utilizing standard physical therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the age and condition of the patient.
• Administers treatment involving application of physical agents, using equipment, moist packs, ultraviolet and infrared lamps, and ultrasound machines.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program and a Physical Therapist license in the state of Ohio. Additional requirements include:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) obtain within 30 days of hire
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
