Job summary

Hamaspik of Kings County is seeking per diem NYS licensed Physical Therapists to provide therapeutic services in home settings for our Early Intervention program serving NYC boroughs, with highest concentration in Brooklyn. We value a team-centered, multidisciplinary approach.

You will work 1:1 with children with developmental delays, set family-centered goals, monitor progress, document sessions, and educate families about the therapeutic process.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with children who have disabilities, in the Early Intervention program.
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
• Desire to improve the quality of life of children with special needs.
• DOH fingerprinting clearance.

Responsibilities

• Working 1:1 with children diagnosed with developmental delays
• Creating family centered treatment goals to facilitate carryover and maximum progress
• Monitoring & assessing intervention effectiveness utilizing a multi-disciplinary approach
• Maintaining appropriate documentation of therapy sessions and caregiver communication
• Educating families and caregivers about the therapeutic process.
