Job summary

Driftwood Healthcare Center-Hayward is seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) to evaluate and treat residents with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal issues. Salary range is $99,840 to $124,800 and the position offers a sign-on bonus.

Full or part time options are available, with comprehensive benefits and relocation reimbursement for eligible candidates. Qualified applicants will hold a current California PT license and have at least a bachelor’s degree in physical therapy; new graduates are welcome

Qualifications

• BS/MS/DS in Physical Therapy required or equivalent.
• CA license to practice Physical Therapy is required.
• One year of clinical experience preferred; new graduates welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, plans and administers treatment to patients with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal problems.
• Administers and interprets tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, ROM, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct resident treatment according to an established plan of care.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts home assessments to ensure safe discharge environments.
• Completes required forms and documents per policy and regulations.

Physical Therapist (PT) Duties and Responsibilities within scope of practice and federal guidelines:

Evaluates, plans and administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.

• Administers and interprets tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct resident treatment in accordance with an established plan of care..
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts home assessments simulated or actual, as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment.
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.

Physical Therapist (PT) Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred. New graduates welcomed!
• Current license to practice Physical Therapy issued by the state of California.
