Job summary

NHC HomeCare Greenville is seeking a Physical Therapist, PT to join our team. The PT supervises and participates in applying physical therapy techniques for rehabilitation of patients with disabilities or injuries.

Responsibilities include coordinating PT services, supervising staff and assistants, and maintaining patient records in compliance with regulations. APTA-accredited degree and state licensure are required; supervisory experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have BS or MS in Physical Therapy accredited by APTA.
• Licensed or registered to practice physical therapy in the practicing state.
• One year supervisory experience preferred.
• Active membership in state and national PT associations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise physical therapy services.
• Provide PT services as ordered by the physician and delegate parts of the treatment plan to the PT assistant.
• Instruct staff in delegated functions, precautions, and re-evaluation plans.
• Evaluate, plan, and supervise treatments with short/long-term goals and physician approval.
• Maintain patient care records meeting third party and regulatory requirements.

Position: Physical Therapist, PT

NHC HomeCare Greenville is looking for a Physical Therapist, PT to join our team! The Physical Therapist supervises and participates in the application of physical therapeutic techniques for the rehabilitation of patients with physical disabilities, injuries, or diseases.

Qualifications:

1. Must be a graduate of a BS or MS level course in physical therapy as accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association.
2. Must be licensed or registered under the statutes of the state in which the physical therapist will be practicing.
3. One year’s experience in a supervisory role preferred.
4. Active member of the state and national Physical Therapy Association preferred.

PT Position Highlights:

• Coordinates and supervises physical therapy services.
• Provides physical therapy services as ordered by the referring physician and delegates appropriate portions of the treatment program to the licensed physical therapy assistant.
• Instructs the physical therapy staff in their delegated functions including precautions, special problems, contraindications, anticipated progress goals and plan for re-evaluation.
• Evaluates, plans and supervises treatments and programs including the establishment of short-term and long-term goals for patients as approved by the physician with periodic re-evaluations.
• Maintains patient care records as designated by the HomeCare agency, assuring that third party reimbursement qualifications are met, as well as all state/federal requirements.
