Job summary

UPMC in Belle Vernon, PA is seeking a Physical Therapist to evaluate patients, develop individualized plans, and provide evidence-based therapy to improve mobility and quality of life.

This role welcomes new graduates and offers training within a dedicated rehabilitation team. Expect a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with no weekends, no holidays, and no on-call requirements.

Qualifications

• DPT or pursuing DPT required or preferred.
• Current PT license in good standing.
• Strong communication and patient education skills.
• Ability to supervise Physical Therapist Assistants and collaborate with the team.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and treatments.
• Develop and adjust individualized care plans based on patient progress.
• Document patient care, treatment outcomes, and discharge planning.
• Communicate patient status with physicians and the healthcare team.
• Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants.
• Provide home exercise programs and patient/family education.
• Rotate through treatment areas as needed.
• Participate in staff meetings and continuing education.
• May serve as a clinical instructor for PT students and residents.

About the Role

As a Physical Therapist, you will evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, provide evidence-based therapy interventions, monitor progress, and educate patients and families to help achieve optimal outcomes. You will work with a diverse patient population, helping individuals improve mobility, strength, balance, function, and overall quality of life.
