Job summary

UPMC is seeking a Physical Therapist to evaluate patients, design individualized treatment plans, and provide evidence-based therapies to improve mobility and quality of life. The role welcomes new graduates and offers training for the right candidate.

Schedule includes at least two shifts per month with Monday–Friday 7:00 AM–5:00 PM; no weekends, holidays, or on-call. Staff will work within a rehabilitation team, potentially supervising assistants and contributing to education and discharge

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and treatments
• Develop and adjust individualized care plans based on patient progress
• Document patient care, treatment outcomes, and discharge planning
• Communicate patient status with physicians and the healthcare team
• Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants
• Provide home exercise programs and patient/family education
• Rotate through treatment areas as needed
• Participate in staff meetings, continuing education, and professional development
• May serve as a clinical instructor for PT students and residents

About the Role

As a Physical Therapist, you will evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, provide evidence-based therapy interventions, monitor progress, and educate patients and families to help achieve optimal outcomes. You will work with a diverse patient population, helping individuals improve mobility, strength, balance, function, and overall quality of life.
