Job summary

UPMC is seeking a Physical Therapist to evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, provide evidence-based therapy, monitor progress, and educate patients and families to help improve mobility and quality of life. The role supports a diverse patient population, welcomes new graduates with training, and follows a Monday–Friday schedule (7:00 AM–7:00 PM) at our South Pod clinics.

No weekends or on-call.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and treatments.
• Develop and adjust individualized care plans based on progress.
• Document patient care, outcomes, and discharge planning.
• Communicate patient status with physicians and the healthcare team.
• Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants.
• Provide home exercise programs and patient/family education.
• Rotate through treatment areas as needed.
• Participate in staff meetings, continuing education, and professional development.
• May serve as a clinical instructor for PT students and residents.
