UPMC is seeking a Physical Therapist to evaluate patients, create and adjust individualized treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based interventions to improve mobility and function. You will educate patients and families, monitor progress, and collaborate with physicians to optimize outcomes.
New graduates are welcome and training is provided. The role emphasizes patient-centered care, outpatient settings, and opportunities to serve as a clinical instructor for PT students and residents.
Schedule: A minimum of two shifts each month. Shifts available Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM

As a Physical Therapist, you will evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, provide evidence-based therapy interventions, monitor progress, and educate patients and families to help achieve optimal outcomes. You will work with a diverse patient population, helping individuals improve mobility, strength, balance, function, and overall quality of life.
Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and treatments
Develop and adjust individualized care plans based on patient progress
Document patient care, treatment outcomes, and discharge planning
Communicate patient status with physicians and the healthcare team
Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants
Provide home exercise programs and patient/family education
Rotate through treatment areas as needed
Participate in staff meetings, continuing education, and professional development
May serve as a clinical instructor for PT students and residents
Graduate of an accredited program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
Must possess knowledge and skills required to provide quality customer service.
Outpatient experience, preferredLicensure, Certifications, and Clearances:Active license in practicing state required. CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.
