Job summary

Kindred Hospital San Gabriel Valley, part of Lifepoint Health, in West Covina, California, is seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) for a Long-Term Acute Care Hospital. This per diem role offers a wage scale of $40.00-$65.00 per hour and opportunities to advance within a supportive leadership team.

As a PT, you will help patients recover with therapies for speech, language, cognitive and swallowing abilities, while documenting care and coordinating with the care team to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
• Current and unrestricted Physical Therapy license in the state where services are rendered.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapy to maximize speech, language, cognitive and swallowing abilities.
• Communicate patient progress to supervisor and team; assist with scheduling and post charges.
• Document patient care per regulatory, licensing and payer requirements.
• Instruct patient’s family or nursing staff in follow-through programs.
• Maintain equipment and work area in a safe and clean condition.
• Adhere to the Company's Code of Business Conduct and applicable laws.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

How You'll Contribute

• Play an important part in helping our patient to recover and feel better about themselves by providing therapy to maximize speech, language, cognitive and swallowing abilities
• Communicate patient progress or problems to supervisor and other team members; assist with patient scheduling and post charges daily to patient records
• Document patient care in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payer and accrediting requirements
• Instruct patient's family or nursing staff in follow-through programs
• Maintain equipment and work area in a safe and clean condition
• Handle job responsibilities in accordance with the Company's Code of Business Conduct, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, appropriate professional standard and applicable state/federal laws
• Other duties as assigned
