Pay Range: $63,000 - $114,000
Job Description:
A Physical Therapist (PT) will implement treatment programs to assist pediatric patients with physical, neurological, cognitive, and social/emotional disabilities or delays by planning and administering physical therapy services in the home and community.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality care by performing evaluations, interpreting assessment results, developing goals appropriate to the child, and creating and implementing physical therapy treatment plans in conjunction with the physician.
- Assist pediatric patients in developing or regaining physical, neurological, cognitive, and/or social/emotional functioning to improve their independence by implementing skilled interventions.
- Educate, coach, and empower caregivers and families to develop skills for carrying over therapeutic activities into daily routines.
- Coordinate with referral partners to provide services according to physician orders.
- Ensure continuation of therapeutic plans post-discharge by designing and instructing patients, families, and caregivers in home exercise programs.
- Document patient care services and care coordination in an electronic medical record system.
- Maintain patient confidentiality by keeping information secure.
Requirements:
- State license
- Current CPR certification
- Minimum of 1 year of experience preferred
