Job summary

Corewell Health Taylor Hospital is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to join our Rehab Unit. The PT will evaluate patients, create treatment plans, and collaborate with the care team to support patient mobility and recovery.

The position is part-time, day shift, at the Taylor site, with a focus on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a diverse setting. Strong communication and customer service are essential to success in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy is required.
• Michigan State License in Physical Therapy is required.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Examine, evaluate and develop a treatment plan for patients with functional limitations and disabilities.
• Provide consultation to healthcare providers regarding patient care continuum.
• Interact appropriately with patients of all ages and cultures; adhere to customer service standards.

About The Unit

Corewell Health physical therapy provides treatments to individuals of all ages that have pain or physical limitations affecting their ability to move and perform everyday activities. Our team of physical therapists and physical therapist assistants are licensed health care professionals focused on maximizing movement potential, injury prevention, treatment, and sustainable wellness.

Scope of Work

The physical therapist is responsible for examining, evaluating and developing a treatment plan for patients with functional limitations and disabilities. PT’s provide consultation to healthcare providers regarding a patient’s continuum of care. The individual in this position is required to appropriately interact with all patients regardless of age or culture and to adhere to the Corewell Health customer service standards.

Standard Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy required. Masters or Doctorate Degree preferred.
• Michigan State License in Physical Therapy required.
• BLS certification required.
