Job summary

Santa Monica Healthcare Center in Santa Monica, CA is seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) to evaluate, plan and administer treatment for neuromuscular and musculoskeletal conditions. The PT will perform tests and measurements, provide direct resident care, and ensure safety and confidentiality.

Requires CA PT license; degree in PT; 1 year experience preferred though new grads welcome. Per Diem/On Call role with salary range $104,000–$124,000; PTO and Referral Bonuses.

Qualifications

• CA PT license required.
• 1 year clinical experience preferred; new grads welcome.
• PT degree (DPT/MS) completed.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, plans and administers treatment to patients with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal problems.
• Administers and interprets tests and measurements for strength, coordination, ROM, and respiratory/circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct resident treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts home assessments to ensure safe discharge environment.
• Completes required forms and documents per policy and state/federal regulations.

Physical Therapist (PT) Duties and Responsibilities within scope of practice and federal guidelines:

• Evaluates, plans and administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers and interprets tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct resident treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts home assessments simulated or actual, as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment.
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.

Physical Therapist (PT) Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred. New graduates welcomed!
• Current license to practice Physical Therapy issued by the state of California.
