Job summary

Motion PT is seeking a qualified Physical Therapist for per diem coverage in Queens and Brooklyn. The role focuses on outpatient orthopedic care, with treatment to help patients return to activities they love and improve overall mobility.

Responsibilities include comprehensive assessments, evidence‑based plans, and delivering skilled interventions. The position offers flexible scheduling, mentorship, and the opportunity to work across multiple clinic locations in the NYC area.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist eligible to practice in the state
• CPR and first aid certification required
• 1+ years of outpatient orthopedic experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Assess movement dysfunction through history and exam
• Develop and adjust evidence‑based plans of care aligning with patient goals
• Deliver interventions including exercise, manual therapy, NMES and modalities
• Track patient outcomes and adapt approach as needed
• Advocate for patients throughout recovery

Job Type

Per Diem (as‑needed basis). Schedule and hours will vary based on clinic needs and will be discussed in further detail during the interview process.

Responsibilities

• Applying your clinical reasoning to assess movement dysfunction and identify underlying causes through patient history and physical examination.
• Collaboratively developing and adjusting evidence‑based plans of care that reflect each patient’s goals, needs, and lifestyle.
• Delivering skilled interventions, including therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, neuromuscular re‑education, and modalities, to improve function and reduce pain.
• Tracking meaningful patient outcomes and adjusting your approach based on progress and clinical presentation.
• Serving as a trusted resource and advocate for your patients throughout their recovery journey.

Qualifications

Physical Therapist Requirements:

• Licensed Physical Therapist (or ability to obtain in the state of practice)
• Passion for evidence‑based, patient centered care
• CPR and first aid certification required
• 1+ years of experience as a licensed physical therapist in an outpatient orthopedic setting; No New Grads

Compensation

$70/Hr.. Benefits include paid sick leave, FEDlogic Benefit Navigation, Commuter FSA, and 401(K) with a 4% employer match.
