Job summary

Lifepoint Rehabilitation seeks a driven Physical Therapist (PT) in Nashville, Tennessee, for a PRN role at Ascension Saint Thomas Rehabilitation Hospital. You will perform patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and deliver therapeutic interventions to restore function and reduce pain.

You will collaborate with a team of PTs, assistants and healthcare professionals to coordinate care, document outcomes, and adjust plans as needed.

Qualifications

• Must hold a TN Physical Therapist license and a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy.
• Strong skills in assessment, treatment planning and functional rehabilitation.
• Experience coordinating with PT assistants and students is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments.
• Develop and implement plans of care.
• Administer physical therapy treatments and modalities.
• Supervise PT assistants and students.
• Document goals and progress for re-evaluation.

Ascension Saint Thomas Rehabilitation Hospital is a 40- bed inpatient acute care rehabilitation hospital located in Nashville, Tennessee.

How You'll Contribute

A Physical Therapist (PT) who excels in this role:

• Performs initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition.
• Establishes a plan of care which is appropriate to problems identified and involves the patient according to his or her capabilities and desires.
• Plans, prepares and carries out individually designed programs of physical treatment to maintain, improve or restore physical functioning, alleviate pain and prevent physical dysfunction in patients.
• Performs therapy interventions utilizing standard physical therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the age and condition of the patient.
• Directs and supervises physical therapy assistants, students, and other support personnel.
• Assesses competence, delegates specific tasks, and establishes channels of communication.
• Administers treatment involving application of physical agents, using equipment, moist packs, ultraviolet and infrared lamps, and ultrasound machines.
• Evaluates, fits, and adjusts prosthetic and orthotic devices and recommend modifications.
• Identifies and documents goals, anticipated progress and plans for reevaluation.

What We're Looking For

Applicants should have a current Physical Therapist License in Tennessee in addition to:

• Education: Bachelor's Degree Required
• Licenses: Physical Therapist License in state of Tennessee
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) obtain within 30 days of hire
