Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, MS, or DPT in Physical Therapy.
• Current or temporary Physical Therapy license in the practice state.
• BLS certification, with current certifications prior to patient care.
• Preferred 6 months to 1 year experience with adult and geriatric populations.
• Physical ability to lift, push, pull 50 lbs, and perform prolonged standing, walking, reaching, bending, kneeling, twisting, and squatting.

Overview Of The Physical Therapist Role

The Physical Therapist is responsible for performing objective assessments and developing comprehensive, individualized treatment plans for adult and geriatric patients under the supervision of Therapy Leadership.

They provide direct supervision to patients and oversee rehabilitation technicians, with general supervision of PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts.

The role requires adherence to departmental policies, standards of treatment, and organizational values.

Qualifications And Skills

• Educational requirements include a Bachelor’s, Master of Science, or Doctorate of Physical Therapy.
• Current or temporary Physical Therapy license in the practice state.
• BLS certification, with current certifications prior to patient care.
• Preferred experience of 6 months to 1 year, especially with adult and geriatric populations.
