Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville, TX, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks a Licensed Physical Therapist for a PRN role. You will assess patients, build individualized plans, and work with physicians to restore mobility and independence.

Requirements include TX licensure, a Bachelor’s in Physical Therapy (DPT preferred), and BLS. Acute-care experience is a plus, and you will rotate two shifts every four weeks while mentoring students and staff.

Qualifications

• Texas-licensed Physical Therapist is required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy required; DPT preferred.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
• Acute care experience preferred and flexibility for shifts.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient abilities and develop personalized treatment plans with physicians.
• Deliver evidence-based interventions to restore movement and reduce pain.
• Monitor progress, adjust therapy plans, and document outcomes timely.
• Educate patients and families on exercises and safety practices.

Your role will include:

• Evaluating patient abilities and developing personalized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and the care team
• Delivering evidence-based interventions that restore movement, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life
• Monitoring progress, refining therapy plans, and ensuring accurate, timely documentation of outcomes
• Educating patients and families on exercise programs, adaptive techniques, and safe practices that promote independence
• Collaborating across disciplines to ensure cohesive, patient-centered care and smooth transitions throughout recovery
• Leading by example—mentoring therapy assistants or students while upholding HCA Healthcare’s values of excellence, compassion, and integrity

What qualifications you will need:

• (LPT) Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of Texas is required
• Bachelors Degree from a Physical Therapy program is required, DPT preferred
• Basic Cardiac Life Support
• Experience in an acute care setting preferred
• Must be able to work 2 shifts per 4 week rotation
