Job summary

Mercy Hospital Washington is seeking a Physical Therapist-Per Diem to join our therapy leadership team and provide objective assessments and individualized treatment plans for adult and geriatric patients. You will supervise patients and rehab staff, with general PT assistant supervision in line with state practice acts and Mercy standards.

Qualifications include a degree in PT (BS, MS, or DPT), current state license, BLS certification, and 6–12 months of rehab PT experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy.
• Current/Temporary Physical Therapy license in state of practice.
• BLS certification required and current before independent patient care.
• Six months to one year rehab PT experience preferred for adult/geriatric care.

Responsibilities

• Perform objective assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Supervise patients and coordinate with rehabilitation technicians and PT assistants.
• Adhere to department policies, referral workflows, and Mercy service standards.
• Work per diem with Saturday/month requirement and holiday shifts as needed.

Schedule: Per Diem - minimum of one Saturday/month; one holiday per year and as needed shifts during the week at IP or OP

Overview

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy.

Licensure: Current/Temporary license of Physical Therapy in state of practice.
Certifications: BLS certified. Required certifications must be current before assigned to care for patients independently.
Preferred Experience : Six months to one year experience is preferred for Rehabilitation Physical Therapist. Prefer experience with care for adult and geriatric patients.

Physical Requirements:

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
