Job summary

Mercy Health seeks a Physical Therapist for per diem coverage at Mercy Hospital Washington in Washington, MO. You will conduct assessments and create individualized treatment plans for adults and geriatric patients, overseeing rehab staff and collaborating with therapy leadership.

The role requires current PT licensure, BLS, and 6–12 months of rehab experience. On-site shifts include Saturdays and holidays as scheduled.

Schedule: Per Diem - minimum of one Saturday/month; one holiday per year and as needed shifts during the week at IP or OP

Overview-

Responsible for direct supervision to patients, indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians. General supervision of PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts. Qualifications-

Education: Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy.

Licensure: Current/Temporary license of Physical Therapy in state of practice.
Certifications: BLS certified. Required certifications must be current before assigned to care for patients independently.
Preferred Experience: Six months to one year experience is preferred for Rehabilitation Physical Therapist. Prefer experience with care for adult and geriatric patients.

Physical Requirements:

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
