Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Physical Therapist (Flex/Per Diem) to join our rehabilitation team. You will evaluate patients, formulate individualized plans, and deliver therapy in alignment with established treatment plans.

The role emphasizes collaboration with physicians and care teams to restore mobility and improve quality of life for adults and seniors. The position supports flexible scheduling, allows you to work across Mercy’s care settings, and requires licensure in the state.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy.
• Current Physical Therapy license in the state of practice.
• Current BLS certification (must be obtained prior to independently caring for patients).

• Provide physical therapy services in accordance with established treatment plans.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, case managers, and interdisciplinary care teams.

• Ensure compliance with departmental standards, state practice acts, and Mercy Service Standards.
• Contribute to a positive, patient-centered care environment.

What You'll Do

As a Physical Therapist, You Will

Qualifications

Required Education

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy

Required Licensure & Certifications

• Current or temporary Physical Therapy license in the state of practice
• Current BLS certification (must be obtained prior to independently caring for patients)

Preferred Experience

• Six months to one year of rehabilitation experience
• Experience working with adult and geriatric patients preferred

Physical Requirements

This Position Requires The Ability To

• Lift, push, pull, and/or move up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
• Stand and walk for extended periods during each shift
• Frequently bend, kneel, twist, squat, reach, and grip while providing patient care
