Job summary

Mercy Hospital Washington is seeking a Per Diem Physical Therapist to provide high-quality patient care for adults and geriatrics under supervision of Therapy Leadership. The role includes performing assessments, designing individualized treatment plans, and supervising rehab staff in accordance with Mercy standards.

Eligible candidates will hold a current PT license in the state, possess a BLS certification, and have 6 months to 1 year of rehab experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
• Current/Temporary Physical Therapy license in state of practice.
• BLS certification required; certifications current before independent care.
• Six months to one year Rehabilitation PT experience preferred, especially with adult/geriatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Perform objective assessments and develop comprehensive treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients.
• Provide direct supervision of patients and indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians.
• Supervise PT assistants in accordance with state practice acts and Mercy policies.

Schedule: Per Diem - minimum of one Saturday/month; one holiday per year and as needed shifts during the week at IP or OP

Overview

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy.

Licensure: Current/Temporary license of Physical Therapy in state of practice.
Certifications: BLS certified. Required certifications must be current before assigned to care for patients independently.
Preferred Experience: Six months to one year experience is preferred for Rehabilitation Physical Therapist. Prefer experience with care for adult and geriatric patients.

Physical Requirements:

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
