Job summary

Spooner is seeking a licensed physical or occupational therapist to join its Peoria clinic. You will work as part of a patient‑focused treatment team, using manual therapy and therapeutic exercise to improve function in patients with musculoskeletal conditions.

You will assess and educate patients, set goals, and coordinate with other clinicians to ensure high‑quality care. This role emphasizes a whole‑body approach and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in physical therapy or related field.
• Current licensure to practice physical or occupational therapy.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Be a core member of the treatment team and ensure an exceptional patient experience.
• Utilize a dynamic approach to address musculoskeletal conditions.
• Combine manual therapy with exercise strategies to improve function.
• Take a whole-body approach to locate injury sources and dysfunction.
• Assess, treat and educate patients to prevent future injuries.

• Set treatment goals with patients and document progress.
• Support patients in achieving goals by adjusting treatment as needed.
• Develop relationships with medical practitioners to coordinate care.
• Collaborate with the team to deliver comprehensive care throughout the patient journey.

• Help patients of all ages and abilities move better and feel better.
• Evaluate and develop treatment goals with patients utilizing clinical observations and information provided by the patient.
• Support patients in achieving their goals through documenting treatment effects and adjusting treatment when necessary.
• Develop relationships with medical practitioners to support patient care.
• Collaborate with treatment team to best ensure the best care is being provided to the patient throughout their experience.
