Job summary

Candor is seeking a school-based Physical Therapist in Texas to help students improve mobility and access to education. You will evaluate needs, develop individualized interventions, and deliver or supervise therapy aligned with IEP goals.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy, an active TX license, and CPR certification. Bilingual preferred but not required; roles offer flexible scheduling and strong benefits.

Your Role:

• Evaluate Needs: Conduct comprehensive Physical Therapy evaluations using standardized tools, observations, and student-centered assessments to determine the need for specialized services in alignment with Texas education standards.


• Communicate Findings: Share evaluation results with parents, educators, and district personnel, offering clear, actionable recommendations that promote students' access to education and functional independence.


• Develop Interventions: Collaborate with the Individualized Education Program (IEP) team to design evidence-based, individualized therapeutic interventions that address student-specific needs, support functional goals, and enhance participation in the educational environment.


• Provide Therapy: Deliver direct therapy services or supervise licensed Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) in implementing IEP goals.


• Monitor Progress: Collect, analyze, and document student progress data, maintaining detailed and accurate records that inform IEP reviews and ongoing service planning.


• Support Teams: Actively participate in ARD meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and multidisciplinary team discussions to advocate for students and contribute to the enhancement of special education programs.
