Job summary

Candor Consulting & Diagnostics is seeking a school-based Physical Therapist in Texas to help students improve mobility and access their educational environment. You will evaluate needs, collaborate with the IEP team, and deliver evidence-based interventions.

You will also monitor progress, participate in ARD meetings, and support teams to promote students’ independence in the classroom. Candor offers flexible scheduling and a supportive growth-oriented culture.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or higher from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
  • Active license by the Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners.
  • Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate needs with comprehensive PT evaluations using standardized tools and student-centered assessments.
  • Communicate findings to parents, educators, and district personnel with actionable recommendations.
  • Develop evidence-based, individualized therapeutic interventions with the IEP team.
  • Provide direct therapy or supervise PTAs in implementing IEP goals.
  • Monitor progress by collecting and documenting student data for IEP reviews.
  • Support ARD meetings, conferences, and multidisciplinary team discussions to advocate for students.

Your Role:

As a school‑based Physical Therapist, you’ll play a key role in helping students improve their mobility, access their educational environment, and achieve greater independence. Your responsibilities will include:



  • Evaluate Needs: Conduct comprehensive Physical Therapy evaluations using standardized tools, observations, and student‑centered assessments to determine the need for specialized services in alignment with Texas education standards.

  • Communicate Findings: Share evaluation results with parents, educators, and district personnel, offering clear, actionable recommendations that promote students’ access to education and functional independence.

  • Develop Interventions: Collaborate with the IEP team to design evidence‑based, individualized therapeutic interventions that address student‑specific needs, support functional goals, and enhance participation in the educational environment.

  • Provide Therapy: Deliver direct therapy services or supervise licensed Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) in implementing IEP goals.

  • Monitor Progress: Collect, analyze, and document student progress data, maintaining detailed and accurate records that inform IEP reviews and ongoing service planning.

  • Support Teams: Actively participate in ARD meetings, parent‑teacher conferences, and multidisciplinary team discussions to advocate for students and contribute to the enhancement of special education programs.
