Job summary

Sanford Health and Good Samaritan Society is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for outpatient and occasional inpatient therapy at Tracy Hospital in Tracy, MN. The PTA will work under a Physical Therapist to carry out the treatment plan and help residents maximize daily functioning.

Position requires graduation from an APTA-approved PTA program and current PTA licensure in the state of practice. BLS certification within six months is expected, with driving may be required.

Qualifications

• Education level required in accordance with state licensure.
• Graduate through an approved American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) program as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Must be licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of practice and abide by licensing standards.

Responsibilities

• Provides, monitors and records therapy services to patients/residents with physical, cognitive, or developmental impairments.
• Selects, implements, and modifies therapeutic activities and interventions aligned with goals.
• Exchanges information with and provides documentation to the physical therapist about responses and communications during intervention.
• Follows and adheres to established clinical practice guidelines.

Job Summary

Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure. Must also be a graduate through an approved American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) program as a Physical Therapist Assistant.

Must be licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state(s) of practice. Conforms to the supervision and licensing standards of the state(s) where services are provided. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within six months of employment. When applicable, may require valid driver's license.
