Job summary

Good Samaritan Society in Marshfield, WI seeks a Physical Therapy Assistant to help patients maximize their potential. You will work under a Physical Therapist to assist with planned therapy activities and exercises to improve daily living abilities.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, collaborative, organized, reliable and empathetic, with licensure as a PTA and BLS certification within six months of employment. Full-time hours and a meaningful clinical team await.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA)–accredited PTA program.
• Must be licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the practicing state(s).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within six months of employment; driver's license if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provides, monitors and records therapy services to patients/residents with physical, cognitive, or developmental impairments.
• Selects, implements, and modifies therapeutic activities and interventions aligned with demonstrated competency and goals.
• Exchanges information with the physical therapist about responses and communications during intervention.
• Follows and adheres to accepted clinical practice guidelines of the professional organization.

Job Summary

Qualifications

Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure. Must also be a graduate through an approved American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) program as a Physical Therapist Assistant.

Must be licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state(s) of practice. Conforms to the supervision and licensing standards of the state(s) where services are provided. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within six months of employment. When applicable, may require valid driver's license.
