Good Samaritan Society in Marshfield, WI is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to support patients and residents under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. You will assist with therapy activities from a planned schedule to improve daily living and quality of life.

The ideal candidate has completed an APTA‑accredited PTA program, is licensed where practice is required, and maintains BLS certification within six months of employment. A valid driver’s license may be required.

Qualifications

• Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure.
• Must be a graduate through an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) program as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Must be licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state(s) of practice.
• BLS certification required within six months of employment.
• When applicable, a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provides, monitors and records therapy services to patients/residents with physical, cognitive, or developmental impairments.
• Selects, implements, and modifies therapeutic activities and interventions.
• Exchanges information with and provides documentation to the physical therapist about responses to and communications during intervention.
• Follows and adheres to accepted clinical practice guidelines of professional organization.

Job Summary

While working under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) assists patients and residents with therapy activities and exercises scheduled in a treatment plan to improve their quality of life and ability to perform daily activities.
