Job summary

Sanford Health and Good Samaritan Society in Westbrook, MN is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to support therapy services under a Physical Therapist. The PTA helps patients maximize potential by guiding therapy activities and exercises in a structured plan to enhance daily living skills.

Under supervision, you will deliver and monitor therapy, adjust activities as needed, and document progress. In this role, you may work outpatient, with opportunities for inpatient exposure, in a flexible

Qualifications

• Appropriate education level per state licensure.
• Graduate of an approved American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) program as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Must be licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the practice state(s).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within six months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provides, monitors and records therapy services to patients/residents with physical, cognitive, or developmental impairments.
• Selects, implements, and modifies therapeutic activities and interventions according to demonstrated competency and goals.
• Exchanges information with and provides documentation to the physical therapist about responses to and communications during intervention.
• Follows and adheres to accepted clinical practice guidelines of professional organization.
