PeaceHealth United General Medical Center in Sedro Woolley, WA is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Day position. The salary range for this opening is $48.52 – $72.78 per hour. Hiring rate depends upon education, training, experience, and applicable agreements.

Qualifications

• Degree in Physical Therapy with accreditation
• Active Physical Therapist license in Washington State
• Basic Life Support certification required upon hire

Responsibilities

• Evaluate assigned patients and establish treatment plans and goals, using data from patient records, interviews, observations, and team members.
• Provide patient treatment according to plan of care, modify plan to meet patient needs, and update plan as appropriate.
• Complete documentation accurately and timely, meeting regulatory, state licensure requirements, and professional standards.
• Collaborate with other health professionals as necessary to ensure smooth continuous care of patients, acting as liaison and educational resource.
• Mentor and provide oversight to new caregivers, physical therapist assistants, and therapy aides, and provide clinical instruction and training to students.
• Recommend and participate in development of new services and programs, quality improvement and monitoring activities.
• Participate in staff meetings, patient care meetings, educational in‑services, caregiver orientation and other professional activities.

Education

Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy

Physical Therapist License in the State of Washington

Basic Life Support certification

Job Summary

Responsible for evaluating patients, determining plans of care and treatment goals, and participating in patient care within the scope of Physical Therapy. May provide oversight to therapy assistants, students, aides, and volunteers, working as part of a healthcare team to achieve the best outcomes.

What you will do

Education

• Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education or a closely related field (foreign equivalent accepted).
• Physical Therapist License in the State of Washington.
• Upon hire, Basic Life Support certification.

Working Conditions

• Patient handling no greater than 35 lbs. without assistive equipment (NIOSH).
• Fine motor skills required to handle medical equipment.
• Ability to move around area with occasional sitting, lift non‑patient up to 25 lbs., push/pull 1–25 lbs., and stoop/bend/squat/kneel occasionally.
• May work with patients requiring bed mobility, transfers and gait; use approved safe techniques and equipment when clinically appropriate.
• Exposure to biohazard, body fluids and airborne particles.
• Time spent on site in a medical/hospital setting.
• Vision and hearing within normal limits (glasses, contacts, hearing aids permitted).
• Strong communication and accuracy in information exchange.
