Job summary

Indiana University Health System in Indianapolis seeks a full-time physical therapist to provide wound management services at Methodist Hospital. You will deliver PT care to restore function, alleviate pain, and prevent disability after disease or injury, while supervising therapists, assistants, and students.

The role requires a DPT/PT degree (US) or equivalent for foreign-trained candidates, Indiana PT licensure, and BLS; advanced life support may be required by unit policy.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in physical therapy or Bachelor’s/Master’s in physical therapy prior to 2016.
• Current Physical Therapist license in Indiana.
• Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
• Advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department policy.

This is a full-time position in Wound Management at Methodist Hospital.

Provides physical therapy services to restore function, reduce pain and prevent disability following disease or injury, and assists patients to reach maximum performance levels. Provides all components of direct patient care including supervision of physical therapist assistants, support personnel and students. Willingly participates in related activities in support of patient care, education and department operations.

• Requires a Doctoral Degree from an accredited academic program in physical therapy or a Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in physical therapy prior to 2016. If foreign trained, graduation from a physical therapy education program outside the US with educationally equivalent coursework accepted by Indiana PLA.
• Requires current Physical Therapist license in the State of Indiana.
• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
• Advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
