Job summary

IU Health Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation at North Keystone in Indianapolis is seeking a part-time Physical Therapist (30 hours per week: Mon, Wed, Thu, Fri) to provide comprehensive PT services. The role includes supervision of staff and collaboration with the care team to restore function and reduce pain.

Requires a Doctoral or equivalent PT degree, Indiana license, and BLS certification. Advanced life support may be required based on department needs.

Qualifications

• Requires Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy or Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy prior to 2016.
• Requires current Physical Therapist license in the State of Indiana.
• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
• Advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.

Responsibilities

• Provides physical therapy services to restore function, reduce pain and prevent disability following disease or injury, and assists patients to reach maximum performance levels.
• Supervises physical therapist assistants, support personnel and students; participates in related activities in support of patient care, education and department operations.

Requirements

• Requires a Doctoral Degree from an accredited academic program in physical therapy or a Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in physical therapy prior to 2016. If foreign trained, graduation from a physical therapy education program outside the US with educationally equivalent coursework accepted by Indiana PLA.
• Requires current Physical Therapist license in the State of Indiana.
• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
• Advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.

Roles and Responsibilities

Provides physical therapy services to restore function, reduce pain and prevent disability following disease or injury, and assists patients to reach maximum performance levels. Provides all components of direct patient care including supervision of physical therapist assistants, support personnel and students. Willingly participates in related activities in support of patient care, education and department operations.
