Job summary

STAR Physical Therapy is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans. You will maintain records, interact with patients and staff, and supervise PTAs and related staff in both direct and indirect patient care.

Responsibilities include ensuring treatments follow evaluations, contributing to program development, and participating in outreach events.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapy Program.
• New graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Current state TN Physical Therapist licensure.
• CPR certification required.
• Ability to work efficiently in an autonomous environment.
• Basic PC skills including EMR, database software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical therapy evaluations assessing status, ROM, strength, posture, ambulation, balance and ADLs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evaluations.
• Maintain accurate records and prepare reports per facility procedures.
• Interact professionally with patients, families and staff.
• Supervise PTAs, Exercise Physiologists, Technicians, Certified Athletic Trainers and students in direct and indirect care.
• Ensure supervised personnel carry out treatments as outlined in evaluations.
• Contribute to program development and participate in educational activities for personal and professional growth.
• Assist in outreach community events as directed by the Clinic Director.
• Adhere to state practice act regulations and APTA code of ethics.
• Must have a degree from an accredited educational institution and be licensed as a Physical Therapist in TN.
