Job summary

Pen Bay Hospital in Rockport, ME is seeking a Physical Therapist for a full-time, day-shift role in Inpatient/Skilled Rehab. Newly graduated therapists welcome; 32 hours per week with rotating Sundays.

The PT will perform evaluations, develop plans, and provide treatments to restore function and relieve pain in accordance with APTA standards and state practice act. Current PT license and BLS required; inpatient/skill rehab experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • Education: Graduate of an APTA accredited Physical Therapist program.
  • License/Certifications: Current PT license per state act and BLS certification required or within 30 days.

Responsibilities

  • Perform PT evaluations and develop plans to restore function.
  • Carry out treatments to relieve pain and improve mobility per Plan of Care.
  • Provide care according to APTA standards and state practice acts.

Newly graduating Physical Therapists are welcome!

Ideal clinical experience for a new graduate would be inpatient and / or skilled rehab

Full Time (32 hrs )

Or rotating Sundays with an additional day during the week

Summary:

The Physical Therapist performs physical therapy evaluations, develops plans, and carries out treatments to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability following disease, injury, or loss of a body part; helps patients reach their maximum performance in accordance with the Plan of Care prescribed by the provider. Provides all aspects of care based on standards established by the American Physical Therapy Association and the applicable State Practice Act.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  • Education: Graduate of an APTA accredited Physical Therapist program required.
  • License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) temporary/permanent license as a Physical Therapist required or in compliance with the state practice act. Current BLS certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of start date.

The pay range for this position is $40.06to $54.20 per hour.

Compensation for part-time positions isdeterminedon a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
