Job summary

Ascension in Pensacola, FL, is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to provide targeted interventions under a plan of care written by a physical therapist in the Rehab Services Ambulatory department.

You will document treatments, perform therapies appropriate for the patient population, and may coordinate activities of PT aides and students. Required: Florida PTA license and BLS within 1 month of hire.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required or within 1 month of hire date.
• PTA credentialed from Florida Board prior to hire date.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.


• Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) credentialed from the Florida Board of Physical Therapy Practice prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• High school diploma or GED required.
