Job summary

Mercy Health in Paducah, KY seeks a Physical Therapist to perform initial and ongoing assessments and deliver skilled therapeutic interventions for inpatients, outpatients, pediatrics, and off-site locations. You will follow the plan of care, document progress, and ensure high-quality, evidence-based therapy across the patient continuum.

The role requires current licensure as a Physical Therapist, BLS within 30 days for some sites, and approximately 2 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of current practice (required)
• BLS Basic Life Support required within 30 days for BSMH; required at hire for RSFH
• 2 years of experience in equivalent setting (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Evaluates patients, gathering pertinent information from various sources, and develops an appropriate treatment plan with specific goals.
• Provides direct therapy to patients daily following patient’s plan of care and current standards of practice for Physical Therapy.
• Documents care provided and patient progress in the EMR, with timely co-signature for supervise PTAs when applicable.
• Maintains productivity without compromising care quality.
• Adheres to safety, infection control and timecard policies.
• Supervises the PTA’s treatment interventions and professional growth.
