Job summary

University of Washington Medical Center-Montlake – EXERCISE TRAINING CENTER in Seattle seeks a PHYSICAL THERAPIST 2 for per diem day shifts. The role includes evaluating complex cases, coordinating with physicians, and implementing comprehensive PT plans to restore function.

The position requires a PT degree, Washington license, and the ability to work independently within a multidisciplinary team.This is a temporary, per diem opportunity on the Montlake campus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or equivalent
• Current Washington State license to practice as a Physical Therapist

Responsibilities

• Perform evaluations of patients with moderate and complex diagnoses and develop independent treatment plans
• Confer with physicians regarding patient treatment and progress and adjust interventions as needed
• Assess patient status and plan/implement treatment programs including physical agents, manual therapy, and therapeutic exercise
• Instruct patients/caregivers in exercises to continue after discharge
• Document evaluations, progress notes, discharge summaries, and home programs
• Mentor and oversee assistants and students and supervise clinical instructors when applicable
