• Examines patient using appropriate testing methods and instrumentation, records and interprets findings, and identifies patient needs.
• Develops treatment plan and patient outcomes, incorporating input from patient, family and other health professionals.
• Implements treatment interventions safely and effectively with sound clinical judgment.
• Provides patient/family education during therapy and in preparation for discharge.
• Conducts ongoing assessments and revises treatment goals and outcomes as appropriate.
• Initiates discharge planning and participates in multidisciplinary care planning.
• Documents discharge summaries and maintains medical records per policy.
• Meets department standards for productivity and may delegate tasks to support staff.
• Attends educational programs, mentors staff, and contributes to internal/external lectures.
